About RavenSword

04 questions

01.01

What is an MSSP, and how is RavenSword different?

An MSSP (Managed Security Service Provider) monitors and manages your cybersecurity so you don't have to build an in-house team. RavenSword is different because we don't resell or outsource: the certified analysts who design your protection are the same ones monitoring your environment at 3am. We combine enterprise-grade tooling with hands-on experts, priced for small and medium businesses rather than the Fortune 500.

01.02

Does RavenSword serve businesses outside a specific region?

Yes. RavenSword is a nationwide MSSP. Our SOC monitors and responds remotely, so your location doesn't limit your coverage - clients across the United States receive the same 24/7 protection.

01.03

What size business is RavenSword built for?

Small and medium businesses, including mom-and-pop operations. We built RavenSword specifically because SMBs were routinely under-served by security providers offering checkbox compliance instead of real protection. Our services are scaled and priced for organizations that need enterprise-grade defense without an enterprise budget.

01.04

Which industries does RavenSword specialize in?

We serve six core industries: healthcare, legal, finance, education, retail, and media & technology - each with tailored threat models and compliance alignment (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GLBA, FERPA, and more). Our team also has direct experience in government and insurance.

Services

05 questions

02.01

What's the difference between MDR, XDR, and SOC-as-a-Service?

SOC-as-a-Service is the overarching 24/7 monitoring and response operation. MDR focuses specifically on endpoint threat detection and response. XDR extends that further, unifying endpoint, network, email, and SIEM/UEBA signals into a single detection and response layer. Most clients run MDR or XDR as part of their broader SOC-as-a-Service engagement rather than as a standalone product.

02.02

Can RavenSword work alongside our existing security tools?

Yes. You can run RavenSword's full stack end-to-end, or we can support and augment your team's in-place SIEM and tooling. Either way, you get full visibility across endpoint, network, email, and cloud from a single team.

02.03

How fast does RavenSword respond to a threat?

Our SOC targets a mean response time under 15 minutes. High-severity detections trigger automated containment immediately, with a certified analyst taking over investigation and remediation from there.

02.04

What is CISO-as-a-Service, and do we need it if we already have IT staff?

CISO-as-a-Service gives you a dedicated technical advisor who owns your security strategy end-to-end - risk assessments, roadmap planning, and executive-level reporting - without the cost of a full-time CISO hire. It complements an existing IT team by providing security-specific leadership and accountability that most internal IT staff aren't resourced to own.

02.05

What happens if a device is already compromised when we sign up?

Our MDR and SOC services are built to detect and stop breaches and ransomware damage in real time, even on an already-compromised device. Ransomware roll-back can reverse malicious changes and return an affected endpoint to its pre-infection state, minimizing downtime and data loss.

Compliance & Risk

02 questions

03.01

How does RavenSword help with compliance audits?

Our monitoring, reporting, and controls are mapped to the frameworks your industry requires - including HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, GLBA, FERPA, and CMMC. Audit-ready documentation is built into our reporting by default, so compliance evidence is ready when your auditors ask for it, not assembled after the fact.

03.02

Do you offer risk assessments before we commit to a service?

Yes. Every engagement starts by mapping your environment, identifying exposure, and prioritizing risk against the frameworks your industry requires before any tooling is deployed.
